About Us

Started in 1979, Early Years Network Tower Hamlets is an umbrella organisation for Under 5's groups in the voluntary sector in Tower Hamlets.  We provide information, resources, advice, support and training services for these groups, and we work in partnership with the statutory and private sectors.


Mission Statement

Our aim is to enhance the development, education and quality of life of children under statutory school age, by encouraging parents to understand and provide for the needs of their children through community groups.  We will take positive action to achieve our aims regardless of people's race, colour, national or ethnic origin, gender, marital status, family grouping, sexuality and ability or additional needs.


Aims and Objectives

Aims:

The Association shall, within the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, aim to enhance the development and education of children under statutory school age by encouraging parents to understand and provide for the needs of thier children through community groups. 


Objectives:
To:

  • Encourage the formation of groups offering appropriate play facilities which meet the needs of all children, along with the opportunity for parents/carers to take responsibility for the management of the groups.
  • Encourage parents/carers to become involved in activities within the groups.
  • Offer continuing support, encouragement and help to these groups.
  • Disseminate information and promote good practice through regular newsletters, courses,   discussions, conferences and meetings.
  • Develop and encourage appropriate training
  • Promote public interest in the recognition of the needs of children and their families.
  • Co-operate with other charitable organisations and persons having similar aims anywhere in the world.
  • Work in partnership, i.e. provide resources to enable our staff and members to meet the above  objectives.
