Playgroup Support

There are approximately 80 Parent and Toddler Groups in Tower Hamlets.  This is a far larger number than in many neighbouring boroughs.  Because these groups are run by volunteers and usually meet only once or twice a week, they appreciate visits from our outreach workers to give advice and regular support.  Without this, if a key volunteer leaves, the groups frequently collapse.

OutReach Visits

If you require a visit to your Group by our Support Worker, for advice & information, please ring the office on 020 7729 5074.  Our Support Worker will assist in the development of policies and procedures as well as helping with many other issues.

Small Grants

We have had a small grants budget from LBTH previously, which has enabled us to give up to 70 grants of £270 to groups who attend and order supplies through our Information and Resource Day.

Fundraising

We provide information on grants available for resources. We have been instrumental in helping groups to obtain small grants from such bodies as Children in Need and in advising on writing letters to request small grants from the business community.

Equipment Loan

We have a wide selection of equipment for loan for Parent and Toddler Groups.  If you require any, please contact the office.   We often have funds for long-term loans of “Start-Up” equipment for new group.
